News Distribution System is a java application, which is composed of three components for News server, news editor, news reader. The news server hosts news while the news editor connects to server to edit news. The third component is for users who want to connect to more than one server and want to read news. This will find better use as a replacement to Notice Board in big institutions. Anyone can start it locally or remotely with his own server. You can use it as an example to learn, Java, Java Network, XML, Java Sockets, Java GUI etc.

News Distribution System This is a news publishing application, which supports three main functions like host news, edit news and read news. It can also be used an educational tool to learn Java, Java Threads, synchronized procedures etc.

News Servlet News Servlet can be used as a common source of news information. News forum - a set of messages with subject and body is implemented by this servlet. WAP or WML facility is also provided in News Servlet.

ToDo servlet ToDo servlet can be used to provide a “to do” service in your web based office as this supports a collection of “to do” notes. The service can be extended to mobile users as this servlet supports WAP/WML also.

Notepad Servlet This servlet is a collection of notes, which can save a list of Notes on your server and also manage them. This Notes collection can be accessed by your mobile users as well, as this supports WAP/WML.
