TagTag is a "web graffiti toy", or to be exact, it allows users to drop one-liner messages onto your website. It has many features, and I intend on adding many more. As I write, it is only available in PHP/mySQL form. I do however intend on adding multiple types of database support (including flat-file), as well as an ASP version.
TagTag is free to use, and no royalties are asked for. (Of course, if you wish to buy something on my wishlist for me, feel free!). If you do use TagTag however, feel free to drop me a line, I may create a list of websites that use it, at some point.
More to the point, TagTag is released under the GNU GPL license; there was someone working on a PHP-nuke implementation of it at one point, although quite what happened to that, I do not know since the guy 'disappeared'. Whilst it is GNU GPL, I do ask that if you are going to create a sub version of TagTag, you make sure you distribute the original along side it, with proper credits where due; and drop me a line to let me know your ideas. :-)
Note: It has come to my attention several people are writing clones of TagTag, and even using some of the existing code; without giving credit where due. This is a breach of the GNU GPL; thusly, against the law. It is people like these individuals, that make less and less developers want to open-source their projects
